French Vegetarian Restaurant In Downtown New York Serves Plant-Based Winter Menu
As the temperatures drop in the city that never sleeps, Delice & Sarrasin invites you to indulge in their vegan culinary Winter Wonderland.
The cozy bistro has developed a reputation for Head Chef Yvette Caron’s signature French vegan style and for her unique interpretations of traditional French dishes. Now, with her new seasonal winter menu, the restaurant is pleased to be offering you both a warming respite from the NYC winter chill and an equally warming, nourishing and flavorful plant-driven menu.
The restaurant’s new winter menu begins with new moreish entrees you’re sure to love like Soupe a L’oignon Gratinee, a vegan take on the quintessential French onion soup which is made with cashew ‘gruyere’ cheese, and Velouté de Carotte, another wintery soup made with organic carrots, unique and subtle pink lentils and plant-based vegan butter.
One delicious warming winter main course is their new Cassoulet Toulousain, a slow cooked white bean casserole with in-house artisan-made meat alternatives and a selection of seasonal produce. If you’re seeking a true flavor experience, their Poulet Basquaise is another slow cooked dish that features the Chef’s textured and flavorful plant-based chicken, melted peppers and a bed of hearty semolina.
Head Chef Yvette Caron has also taken inspiration from local seasonal produce in creating a menu that offers you a natural richness and depth of flavor and the restaurant is known for their use of wild food, organic produce and farm-to-table ingredients.
If you are seeking the full cozy dining experience that the restaurant can offer, they also have an extensive new dessert and crepe menu—Chef Caron particularly recommends the seasonal new La Nanane crepe with roasted pears and almonds, melted vegan dark chocolate and coconut whipped cream to you. Their extensive vegan wine selection is also sure to please you if you are looking to enjoy a festive lunch or dinner during the holiday season.
Delice & Sarrasin is open seven days a week for brunch, lunch and dinner. As the silly season fast approaches, bookings are recommended.
