Come and experience Sri Ramana Maharshi’s profound teachings for self-knowledge and liberation in Tiruvannamalai – one of India’s most prominent pilgrimage destinations!

Throughout the year, from November to June, you can join satsangs led by the Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi Ashram Trust’s founder Sri Brahmam - a present-day Jnani and sage in his 80s who attained self-realization at the age of 27!

Cutting through complexity and abstract concepts, Sri Brahmam’s presence and energy transmissions enable spiritual seekers worldwide to learn Ramana Maharshi’s Self-Inquiry naturally.

Derived from Sanskrit where ‘sat’ means truth, and ‘sangha’ means company or association, Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi Ashram Trust’s group events provide you with the opportunity to receive spiritual illumination and deepen your understanding of your life’s purpose.

Sri Brahmam teaches Ramana Maharishi’s 'Who Am I' self-inquiry, also known as Atma Vichara, through his presence and energy transmissions. Born in the 20th century, Ramana Maharishi was a jivanmukta (liberated being), known for his Jnana Yoga and Advaita Vedanta teachings which emphasize the non-dual nature of the self and the universe.

As the ashram explains, self-inquiry can often seem abstract and difficult to understand. Yet, Sri Brahman’s satsangs offer a simplified process. “His energy transmissions of inner peace will marinate in the being of seekers and ‘cook’ them over time,” said Paul Wong, a long-time seeker and student of Sri Brahmam. “Then, you will naturally and automatically do self-inquiry.”

For this reason, it is recommended to listen to Sri Brahman’s satsangs over a period of weeks or months. If you can’t attend Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi Ashram Trust’s live satsangs, you can watch live streams or recordings on the YouTube channel.

While sitting in the Ramana Maharishi ashram, Sri Brahmam experienced witnessing the ‘death’ of his physical body as Ramana once did. This experience left him in a state of continuous, permanent peace, and full enlightenment.

Shortly after this, Sri Brahmam founded the Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi Ashram Trust in Tadipatri, Andhra Pradesh which spiritual seekers are encouraged to visit. The ashram houses hundreds of orphans, provides a free hospital and medical services, a goshala, and a community center that supplied free food to thousands of people during Covid-19.

Sri Brahmam’s presence and transmissions help spiritual seekers learn Ramana Maharishi’s self-inquiry which is often considered to be very complex. The satsangs activate deep inner peace, remove deep conditioning following various stages of awakening, and allow for seekers to abide deeply in the Self, potentially becoming fully realized in this lifetime.
