While these new courses still cover the full range of information and skills required to work in a MedSpa, they use a combination of online and offline learning to make the certification process more efficient. You can complete the majority of your coursework online, from anywhere with an internet connection, before you even begin the practical training portion of the program.

Using the Basic training program, you can become fully certified and ready to begin a new MedSpa career in as little as eight weeks, with only one week of in-person learning required. The practical training portion of the class can be scheduled at any Dermysk location across Canada too - so even the hands-on training is pretty convenient.

During your practical training, you will work closely with Dermysk aesthetics specialists to gain real-world experience with MedSpa tools, clients, and procedures. At the end of the practical training, when you graduate, you will receive certification to perform up to a dozen popular techniques, such as laser pigmentation treatments, and will be ready to begin working in a MedSpa. Easy, peasy.

While each course focuses mostly on the practical MedSpa procedures, and the underlying science or biology, they also provide information about the MedSpa industry in general. This includes courses on how to deal with clients, what to do in case of complications, and several personalized business strategies that will be super helpful if you decide to open your own business or work from home.

Just because you've graduated doesn't mean you're on your own though.

All graduates will be enrolled in the Dermysk Academy’s after-graduate support program, which helps with finding job placements, career opportunities, and advanced training.
